Cross Country

We are excited to welcome back Bekah Preston-Dunn as head coach of HCC’s Cross Country team! Our Cross Country program is open to students in 2nd to 8th Grade. The season runs from September 6th to October 13th. 60 minute training sessions will be held on Monday and Wesdnesday afternoons from 3:50-4:50pm. Training sessions include stretching, running relays and other active games that teach students the importance of maintaining a smooth pace. This is a fun program with fitness and individual improvement encouraged. There will be a $30 participation fee, with a $10 discount for siblings. If you would like to sponsor an athlete by adding an extra $20 to your student’s registration please make a note on the registration form. Please look for the Cross Country table at back to school night to register your student for the Fall 2023 Cross Country season.

The Cross Country program’s success depends on parents and friends volunteering as coaches. No experience is necessary!

Dungeons & Dragons Club

HCC is happy to support a club for Dungeons and Dragons players. Dungeons and Dragons is a role-playing game that takes characters on quests which are exciting and competitive. Because of the type of competition, the game sometimes includes scenarios that may result in battle or wars as part of the game. This club is open to middle school students and Ms Watson is the club advisor.

Students who are interested in joining the club will need to fill out a permission slip and return it to Ms. Watson. If there is a need to cancel or reschedule a date Ms. Watson will try to give as much notice as possible.

D&D Club meets on Thursday from 4:15-5:30pm in Ms. Watson’s room. Students need to have their own transportation home from the club and all students must be picked up no later than 5:35pm.

Hip Hop Club

The HCC Hip Hop Club is open to students in 6th-8th grades. The club will meet in the cafetorium on Mondays from 4-5PM for 6 weeks starting Monday, January 29, 2024. Space is limited to 25 students – openings will be filled first by returning club members, and then in the order the completed Liability Release form (avaialble below) is turned in to Ms. Mica.
